Mid 60s is a decent score now?

This series doesn't have anywhere to go. Nintendo should scrap it and go back to the drawing board.

We got this covered's review is too generous with that 5/10. The review sounds like the guy really disliked the game.



My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Why? It will sell a lot more than Bayonetta 2 or Rayman Legends which have 90%+ on metacritic.

60 is passable, so yeah, it's kinda decent. And I don't know why do you suggest Nintendo should abandon the series, because Mario Party games usually score like this, and well, they never cease to be fun, especially among kids.

This had the potential to be great especially with the gamepad opening up so many different minigame opportunities, which it looks like they took advantage of but when they seem to have forgotten what made past Mario Party's so great in the first place it just doesn't come together.

I hope they look back at the original games when they get around to making another one because this series has lost it's way.

I'm sure it'll be enjoyable for many though, most likely not those who have been long time fans of the series.
