So it is now a hack n slash game (not a bad thing just different). Did not really consider the other FS to fit that description, but judging by these quick reviews this one does.

I'm a bit concerned, reading about changes in the fighting. We will have to see if this works out good.

Anyways, people were saying The Order only got Flak because of being Sony exclusive and Bloodborne also will get hate. But as you can see the media reception is a lot better. Looks like Bloodborne really can deliver on it's hype and I'm happy about that, because I really care for it.

Not a hack and slash. If you read the previews they explain it. Basically you take a more offensive approach to combat as opposed to a defensive. You have to think through how you are going to encounter enemies and be tactical about it.... not a hallmark of a hack and slash game.

And when did it become en vogue to call every game that involves using a sword to strike something a hack and slash game. I saw someone do this about FF XV also.... I mean at this rate we might as well call Zelda a hack and slash (its not).

Hack and slash involves a semi mindless destroying of alot of stuff where the challange is not in WHETHER you defeat your foes but how fast can you do it. Think Diablo or Dynasty Warriors.

When will the review embargo be lifted ?

Preordered it long time ago. It is the only game series I am not waiting for reception. I simply trust them to deliver something great. It all began when I threw my beloved PS3 controller on the wall during Demon´s Souls. Then I realized how much I love them.
