Just wanna ask, who told you the C-Stick doesn't work that great? It works perfect! Trust me, they are LIARS.
So if you wiling to spend the extra money, go for the New 3DS XL

I shouldn't, but I suppose I might.
I can go to Gamestop and try it out. If I like it enough, I'll see how much it would cost if I traded in my XL for the new one. If I don't think it is too much I might do it.
But I probably won't, because I don't use my 3DS very much as it is.

 Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

New 3ds xl cause its newer and what ever little amount of exclusives it will have, you will be able to play them! Plus the 3d is apparently great

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

So 200 dollars is that much more expensive to you than 160 dollars for a way better console?..

Must look a helluva lot nicer to you if you said it twice. ;)

If you get the new 3DS XL you WILL care about 3D. Also, considering what you will inevitably spend on games, does a few tenners really matter?

I'm new here but I found this interesting.

The New 3DS's c-stick is a life changer when it comes to Monster Hunter and Majora's Mask 3D. I played MM3D on my friend's regular 3DS XL and was annoyed that I couldn't control the camera to my liking. You get very used to it and you can't live without it after. Lol. Even loading Smash Bros. is WAY faster. Also switching from different applications is super fast and it's  a noticeable  improvement. I can never and will never go back to an old 3DS XL. Also note that all games that had Circle Pad Pro compatibility like Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Resident Evil Revelations, and Kid Icarus Uprising to name a few, work just fine with the New 3DS XL's c-stick

When it comes to Ocarina of Time 3D though, you're screwed. The game is OoP (out of print) and is going for $70+ on eBay used. So check your local game stores like GameStop/EB games to see if you find a used copy. I found a copy for $35 at GameStop. Thankfully they haven't raised the price yet either.

Good luck on your future 3DS! The New 3DS XL is definitely recommended.

The 3D is really great, much better than on the regular XL. I just tried it out at Gamestop; virtually gone are the weird vertical lines you see when you move your head or the system. It makes it much less distracting and therefore more immersive.

Don't buy a non-new 3ds now.....

I've decided I want a used New3ds xl when I can find one for about 100-150 dollars! I just wouldn't be happy with the original 3ds xl
