Considering the quality of their recent entries, I'm fine with them sticking to remakes.

By the end of this generation, Nintendo will have released at least 5 Zelda games on their platforms. Of these 5 games, 3 are remakes and another rehashes the overworld from A Link to the Past. What happened to this great franchise? The previous generation we had 4 entirely new Zelda games. No rehashing overworlds or remakes. Is Nintendo having trouble deciding where to take the Legend of Zelda next? BTW, I'm willing to pretend Hyrule Warriors doesn't exist if you promise to forget Link's Crossbow Training.

maybe they're too busy developing zelda wii u... and ALBW is an amazing game.

ALBW was a great game but it's a shame they had to piggyback off of an even better game. You know that this means we only get to explore one new world this gen right? Only one. Very disappointing imo.

What people dont realize is that all these games are appetizers for the main course this Nov! I mean when you really think about it, this gen has been practically hyping up LoZ U!

Its an open world and as long as they build upon that with crazy innovative and a lively world, LoZ U could well be a Major hit, despite WiiU tiny User base!

Oh and ALBW was damn well amazing! ALttP+TP are still my personal top 2, but ALBW is in its own rights amazing

pretend that remakes doesnt exist.
just play the new games.

ALBW is amazing, and worth as a high standart zelda game, and zelda for wii u is promissing. 1 new great zelda per console seems right for me.

Though im not going to believe its gonna happen, i believe there were hints saying that there was another LoZ in development for 3DS (a new one).

Also we should be grateful that we at least get 1 new world to explore as many franchises that people want dont evenget the chance per generation (FZero/StarFox/etc)

And i do count ALBW a new world to explore, it isnt exactly the same, just similar settings. Every 2 years isnt bad at all

2011 SS

2013 ALBW

2015 LoZ U

2016/17 ??

ALBW?

A Link Between Worlds

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I'd rather have a four course meal than 4 appetizers and a dish.

Sorry, I'd take remakes of the two of the best games ever over the Zelda DS games, as for consoles...
Since this is Nintendo's first HD Open world game, it will take a while. Also if you think ALBW is a rehash of ALTTP then TP is a rehash of OoT.

You aren't at least a little disappointed that they reused the overworld for ALBW? Also, I personally really enjoyed Phantom Hourglass. I felt like that game had a lot of really interesting side quests and activities outside of the traditional dungeons. I'm curious as well to how me saying ALBW rehashing the same world as ALttP would be akin to claiming TP rehashes OoT. What does TP reuse? The art style?

It's not that it reuses stuff like ALBW did, but that it really doesn't have that much new ideas in it

Zant, Minda, and Wolf are all really interesting characters, but that's about it.

You do the first 3 dungeons then get the Master Sword, sounds familiar?

Then do you a few more dungeons, then the final boss.

The first part is a carbon copy of the OoT boss, except it is Zelda instead of Ganondorf

The rest of the final boss is pretty good, the other 3 stages were interesting.

Although TP is my favorite Zelda, I do have to admit it really doesn't try anything that hasn't been done before. It just feels like Ocarina of Time 2, I must say
