There are a handful of games I bought a WiiU for and this is one of them. Can't wait to play this!

"So, the director of Devil's Third has recntly stated that the games graphics and textures have seen a huge boost since E3. So please don't comment about that."
I have not seen this "huge boost," so I will comment about that. The game looked like garbage at E3, and I've seen no proof but here say that the game has gotten any better since, so will I be getting Devil's Turd as of now? Nope. Hell no.

^ Reactions like this demonstrate how critical it is that they show this fabled new build, cos they are many people who hold this same view.
Don't tell, show.

Exactly. I'd love to be proven wrong. I was beyond excited when this game was rumored to be coming to Wii U.
...Then I saw footage.

Tbh considering what the game has gone through I'm not surprised they're not focused on releasing media, even Bayonetta 2 was kept under wraps until it was ready to be shown only difference was that the latter was actually cancelled in concept while the former actually had a build that had to be redone for a new platform. Imo the only reason DT was shown at E3 was just to announce it as an exclusive and nothing more, I wouldn't be surprised if the build in the trailer was one that wasn't even on the U and a previous build given how Itagaki had to remortgage a house to buy the rights to the game after THQ went bust and the game wasn't playable at E3 and only present in trailers.
It wouldn't take much to add better textures and effects if that was the case and they probably spent time recoding the game to run in the U's architecture before focusing on all the cosmetic side of things.

Surely it's ready to be shown by now though; they said it was nearly finished in January, and boasted in early December that it's graphics had been heavily upgraded.

Nearly finished can mean anything, it can still need a few months of work, if it's not out before E3 they may as well polish the game and show build at E3 that looks vastly superior to last year.

They said it already looked heaps better 4 months ago though.

Which doesn't exactly change the fact that it can still need some work, for all we know they could have loaded better textures in the game with out polishing. Using better textures alone would make the game look heaps better.
