Wii U will probably outsell PS Vita globally when Zelda U comes out. Probably earlier if people go crazy on Twilight Princess HD. Splatoon and Super Mario Maker did a lot this year, but Zelda is Zelda.

I could be wrong, but that's my current bet.

I'm sorry but I am TIRED of reading this every once in a while. Nintendo fans have been saying this since SM3dW and the gap between both handheld and console just seems to never change. Can we all just accept the WiiU has no chance in passing the Vita LTD? Thank you.

Looks like the vita will stay ahead for another year. Don't under estimate the little thing!


I know wii u will have a good black friday but so will the vita. The blue sku has charted well but the pstv sale was huge. That thing must have done good numbers.

And on the Wii U passing it when Zelda comes. It already had the excellent wind waker HD so a pretty standard port of twilight princess with very little improvement isn't going to do much for people who've not bought in. Zelda U I could agree but that will be on the NX too so it won't have as big an effect.

I think the deciding factor is when Nintendo replace the Wii U whether it's with a portable NX or a traditional successor. It dies then.

But the vita already has a good 2016 line up and it will be supported into at least 2017. I know it's the battle of the losers but it's close and that's why it's interesting.

Vita had the lead for the whole year, but it's advantage is almost down to zero now. Since Wii U has generally a much better holiday season than Vita (couresy of Vita not selling in the US at all), Wii U should end up winning this year in the end, probably starting with the release week of Xenoblade Chronicles X, if not with black friday already.

I expect Wii U to outsell vita by 200k by the end of the year.

At the light of those numbers, we can say for sure Vita will stay ahead of the Wii U LFT
