Forums - Sales - Chart Track UK WEEK ENDING 7 March 2015

Just noticed that Zombie Army game on XB1 sold more than on PS4.  Wonder what caused that.

Guess it makes up for this week's bomba though:

(That's 16th on XB1-only games).

Just ahead of a re-entry of Murdered: Soul Suspect.

(Didn't even realise it released this week until GAF pointed it out).

Honestly, I thought Screamride was digital only.

Yeah, Screamride did absolutely bad. I think it's too much niché of a genre (while it's not even clear what exactly it is) and it had no marketing. Combined with close to nothing about in the media nobody should be surprised.

I don't even get what genre this & Zoo Tycoon are.  When they were first revealed I thought they were management-esque games, but looking further they just seem to be casual-orientated experiences with very small layers of management in there.

Well, Zoo Tycoon is a bit like the Theme games from what I can see when my gf plays it. But Screamride I don't think it fits into anything.

I don't see Screamrider anywhere in the charts at all. The legend of Zelda is on the all format charts while Minecraft on PS3 is on the individual charts.

Proud to be a Californian.

The problem with these games is how hard they translate into a home console controls, to work they end up being dumbed down.

Truly PC games.

Both of them were things that briefly appealed to me when they were first revealed because I thought they'd be tycoon-esque (PS1 got a few of these types of games - Theme Hospital etc.)  But they looking further, Zoo Tycoon seems to be Kinectimals except you place a few attractions too, so my interest fell off there.  Same kinda thing with Screamride.

So just speaking from my own experience, they're completely not the kinda things I'm interested in really.  If they're gunning for another audience (the kind who might be Kinect Sports Rivals), then I'm guessing it's just the wrong time to be releasing on XB1.  Though the games seem to have under-performed on 360 as well.

So if we go by The Order fw sales being 47,284 at most, it is now around 75k so Dying Light did >75k in two weeks only with physical copies. I wonder what it is with digital sales combined.

So GAF confirms what I was saying but augments with even more concrete numbers:

The Order Week 01 > 36,332 < 47,284 Week 02 > 15,986 < 20,805 (-56%) Week 03 > 6,075 < 7,906 (-62%) Total > 58,393 < 75,995

Dying Light Week 01 > 55,721 Week 02 > 28,975 (-48%) Total > 84,696

Gooooo The Order: 1886!!!
