Meh. No biggie here. Both are established popular franchises with many million selling entries. The PS4 is dominating the market so Uncharted has the install base advantage. It was only impressive when Splatoon did it.

And, just as circumstancial evidence, two new IPs opened up extremely well for Playstation. TLOU opened to 1.3M FW on PS3. And that was a new IP. That shows how much influence Naughty Dog has. Destiny sold 2.1M FW on PS4. Also a new IP. That shows how well Sony pushed/advertised/hyped that game. Now, combine the two: caliber of ND + heavy marketing push. And not for a new IP. It's for a game in a series that fans now know has only gotten better with each release, and have no reason to think it'll get worse (as ND keeps releasing top quality games, one after another), whereas Halo is starting to go downhill (Halo 4 + MCC probably left a sour taste in peoples' mouths) |

I wasn't acting smart, I was simply speaking my mind on why things ended the way they did. Which is not a big deal.

Yeah but the install base was not really why it happened....and then you even threw in it wasn't impressive only Splatoon doing it was.

Not saying it is a big deal at all. Just odd to say it was not impressive because it clearly was and is something no one expected...then to throw Splatoon in jsut seemed like it was...well downplaying to be honest.
The install base part no problems with that being said even if I disagree with it. But to come into a thread that asked about Halo 5 and Uncharted 4 sales comparissions and to say Uncharted selling more than Halo was not impressive and Splatton was just seems well odd I don't know how else to put it.

PS4 vs. WiiU was the same thing. People really underestimated Sony resoundingly. At this point going against Sony just isn't the smart thing to do. I wonder how many of these threads exist?
