apologies, I meant the steambox.

NP. That depends on the model. If you spend 2K you will smoke current gen. If you spend $500 you were better off with a current gen, as similar hardware but games aren't nearly as optimized. I like my souped up PCs, so Steambox isn't for me.

yeah no sweat. I'm just saying the technology is there. These features could be implemented on the current gen, and as I showed above, MS is also working on a chromecast like dongle. I could see them attempting a similar concept to steam.

Personally, I'd prefer MS stay in the console market. Everyone gets the best quality out of their respective console when there's competition. All they need to do is be consumer friendly and they'll make a profit on the console.

Also dude, no offense but the Xbox will sell more than 1/2. Its done 11.5 million in just over a year. It'll probably hit 70 million. And there's no guarentee the PS5 will be a smash winner like PS4. PS3 faultered, and PS could faulter again...

The ps4 currently outsells the xbox by a good bit more than 2:1. I believe they will double them.

Good bit MORE than 2:1? Yeah well even vgchartz says that it has been just under 2:1.

If you followed the news recently you'd see vgchartz is not the best tracker.  And they currently have ps4 almost selling 2:1 but with adjustments it will be over that.  And thats amazing when ps4 is still at launch price.

Why would you use VGC's numbers as proof, especially when it has been proven that it has undertracked the PS4 after Sony made the 20.2M sold-to-consumers announcement?

This fits your theory quite nicely:

And who's the say the XB1 isn't undertracked? Your second instinct? I hate Microsoft for not telling us sales, but at the end of the day people are assuming the XB1 as undertracked or perfectly tracked, even though they have no proof to back it up.

Well, by itself it's not much. I mean, Xbl was always free on PC so it's no major change. But the fact that in the very near future you could be playing xb1 exclusives on pc with multiplayer without gold...thats pretty conflicting.

If Live had ever cost anything on PC then I would say it was major. Still, nice contribution to the topic. Thanks

Never claimed anything about the X1's tracking, so nice kneejerk reaction there. At the end of the day, VGC's numbers aren't to be trusted. I rather say "I don't know" than believe in rough guesses.

Then very well. But the other person with the frog avatar or something like that. As long as we don't have Xbox sales numbers, you can say whatever you like but there's nothing backing that up...
