Ahem.

No offense, but it seems to me that the reason you think Nintendo fans massively outnumber Sony fans is because, well, you're a Sony fan, so you wish your "side" had more supporters and less detractors.

That's the exception, not the rule.

Make that Uncharted vs Kirby topic and find out; I guarantee you Kirby will not win. ;)

You guys take things quite literally

Guys, we've had enough of this. Since on VGC Nintenedo fans >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> PlayStation fans in numbers, obviously Metroid wins over Resistance. Don't try to tell me otherwise, even if this was something like Kirby vs Uncharted, you guys would have said Kirby is better.

Yeah, just stop it.

Okay, try to make me stop it. Lol.

It just sounds like your whining^

I say it to the nintendo fans too that make up bad reasons why "A" is better than "B". Read my previous post here and point out where i posted Metroid>Resistance.

I wasn't whining, I just said the discussion is over, on these forums Metroid wins by a landslide. And it wasn't even a discussion to begin with, Metroid was always going to win.

Oh, and I've given a reason for that as well.

Ah, ok. If you didn't play games back then, it makes more sense. But why not give a good SNES or PS1 game a shot some day to see? (I see you played MGS1 at least. Did you finish it? Did you like or dislike it?) The best way to determine if something is good or not is to play it yourself rather than looking at it. If you like RPGs, there really aren't many that compare to Chrono Trigger even to this day. It's definitely not a "simple game", seeing as it has over 15 different endings, and time travel where things you do in the past can change and affect things in the future, etc.
Designed by Hironobu Sakaguchi (Creator of Final Fantasy), Art by Akira Toriyama (Dragonball), Music by Nobou Uematsu (Final Fantasy) and Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Cross, Xenogears/Xenosaga), it had quite the colaboration of amazing people working on it.
If you don't like rpgs, then nvm. If you do, worth giving it a shot. Worst that can happen, you don't like it and stop partway through. At best, you could discover a game many people consider one of the best of all time. Not terrible odds for a gamble there.

Actually, it's got 13 endings. Just a correction.

Metroid: Other M and The Order have a lot in common actually. They both put cinematics over gameplay.

Woah....I strongly disagree with that. Other M actually had some really great gameplay and a lot of interesting ideas to go alongside its messy and badly planned out narrative. While it was a departure in many ways from traditional Metroid gameplay, it was still quite strong on its own merits despite its faults.

Just when we made some progress on one front, you have to come in and stir up more trouble. Don't you have some The Order 1886 threads to post some hate-filled posts in?

...I do :|

I count 19 here: http://chrono.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Chrono_Trigger_endings

Sorry, 13 main endings, and not ones that you miss out by not doing sidequests lol.

That's not true at all.  Even if Nintendo fans now outnumber the Playstation fans on VGC, it is MUCH closer than you're making it out to be.  I think one thing you're confused about is that many Nintendo and Playstation fans here ALSO play the other console (I primarily play on Nintendo, but I also own Sony.  The other way around happens a lot too).

edit: I mean I also own a Sony console, not that I own Sony.  I have a PS2 and a PS Vita.

PS2 and Vita? I guess you're a PS owner, but then again, missed out all the gems on its side.

I grew up with a PS1 as well, but it's not around anymore (though a dozen or so of the games are still around and playable).

Curious though, what do you mean by that last thing?  Are you referring to games on the systems I do have or are you referring to PS3 and PSP games?

Obviously, Metroid is the better overall franchise. I like Resistance more just because I have played more REsistance games than I have Metroid games, plus I really like the designs of the chimera and the awesome weapons found in resistance.

Yeah I'm talking about the ones on PS3, PS4 and PSP. Vita doesn't ahve ANY gem other than KZ: M and maybe Tearaway though I haven't played it. PS3 has by far the best exclusive lineup of any PS console yet, you should have got that instead of a Vita.

Well, even then its at least 14. The Bad Ending is not numbered, but counts as well.
But it's not just doing side quests that triggers the other endings. Ending 1a for example happens if you chose to destroy the final boss's shell using Epoch.
Three of these endings only affect it in a minor way however, and don't change the entire ending. If you remove those, then its 15.

Alright alright, it's not worth debating over something trivial. You're right.
