I'm not disputing nintendo are great first party.

But Microsoft and Sony are in a different situation. Their first parties tend to be much higher budget than nintendo games. Naturally they will release more plus they put a lot of their efforts into supporting a shit load of 3rd party games

Sony's Big 1st Party: The Order, Bloodborne, MLB: The Show, Uncharted 4

Microsoft's Big 1st Party: Forza Motorsport 6, Halo 5, Quantum Break, Fable Legends

Nintendo's Big 1st Party: Zelda, Star Fox, Xeno X, Splatoon

Am I missing something?

Edit: And actually, Bloodborne isn't even 1st party. But let's just say it is for the sake of conversation.

What does that explain?

Why you're so adamant against Nintendo titles. They're not your style.

Truly, if I had only a DS and Wii U I would be satisfied. Nintendo is great.

The witcher,  gta heists,  battlefield hardline Bloodborne,  yakuzo, dragon quest heroes,  tropico 5, mortal combat, dead island 2, batman,  Disgaea 5, hotline miami 2, devil may cry, project cars, elder scrolls online,  omega quintlet,  and a boatload of smaller titles.  Yet you picked out the order which is decent and Evolve.

I was picking out games that have already released.

Besides, are all of those games fronted by Sony or Microsoft? The OP's list is about games from a company, not about games coming to specific platforms. This isn't console warz. I sincerely doubt that very many companies will release 10 good games in a 4 month period (outside of Bamco).

That's a little odd to only compare games released to a list of 10 games where only 3 are released.

In my mind, I was comparing the games Nintendo has released thus far to the games other publishers have released. I wasn't including the whole list.

Yeah you're missing a lot of sony studious.  Gran turismo and god of war don't make themselves

I thought we were talking about games releasing this year. Have those games even been revealed?

In that case, I could mention Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, Paper Mario or Metroid.

The combined budget of those games would probably equal one of sony's.

Again I'm not saying nintendo don't do anything awesome job but sony but in a lot of resources too.

Does a budget make a game inherently bigger/better?

If I go outside and dump all the money in my wallet into a puddle of mudd, is that money better off than had I spent just $1 on a candy bar and saved the rest? Nintendo is extremely conservative with their budgets, but it doesn't show in their big games.
