Get Lost Oddyssey, I 'm on the 3rd disk and its Great (Best JRPG on the 360 IMO). Blue Dragon was good too, on the old school Cartoony side.

I played the Demo for Eternal Sonata which was good, but I never bought it (Too many good games came out around the same time).

Thanks for the re-cap stickball. I think i've got it now. Actually one more question about live. Can you pay for extra content via credit card or do you need to puchase microsoft points from a store? thanks again guys its all great and valuable information for me.

You can purchase points on Xbox Live with a credit / debit card. They come in 500, 1000, 2000, and 5000 increments I believe.

High Def Movie Collection

Just make sure you buy Lost Odyssey first. Worth every penny

I still haven't played through Blue Dragon simply because I despise Toriyama's artwork. Somebody please kill him >.

thanks jasonnc80. And thanks everyone else too. This is really going to help make my decision to get a 360 or not a lot harder but I'm sure ill make a choice im happy with in the end.

No! Don't! ES is better than Enchanted Arms in every way! Don't buy it! Its a big mistake!

Could you rationally elaborate on why? "No! Don't!" is a tad vague.

I was typing from my iPhone and didn't have the time to type a huge explaination.

Enchanted Arms is low budget, horribly made JRPG. Very bad story with forgetable characters, and a tedious battle system. The battle's are fought on a grid and with loading in between every animation or attack (which differs from LO where there is an initial load and no more down time in the fight). It was a boring game that I couldn't bring myself to finish (I played for over 15 hours and the fun didn't start).

I would reccomend in this order:

Lost Odyssey -> Eternal Sonata -> Phantasy Star Universe -> Blue Dragon -> Culdcept Saga -> Enchanted Arms.

We do have similar taste in RPGs as FF9 is my favorite game of all time.

EM wasn't THAT bad.....But it wasn't a true next-gen JRPG (like BD, ES or LO)

But again, please, please give Blue Dragon a look. If you can get past the kiddieness of it, it's very, very solid. And it's cheap too - it's already well under $40 USD new since it bombed.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I really liked Blue Dragon. I have been playing Eternal Sonata lately and like it, but it is not as solid as Blue Dragon. I got Lost Odyssey a few weeks ago and have enjoyed the first few hours. I would say it comes down to Blue Dragon or Lost Odyssey. If you are the serious type then Lost Odyssey is the way to go. If you are more family oriented then Blue Dragon is the way.

Ok so you like the JRPG games: Lost Odyseey, Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon. They are all good games. Well there is also Beautiful Katamari and Final Fantasy 11 and 12 available.

If you get a PS3, Final fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy 13 Versus will be out next year.

XBox 360 with more JRPG games you like is definitely your best choice of console.

360 doesn't have FFXII - just FFXI, and tons of expansion packs.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Thanks to mrstickball I own ES, BD & LO. I haven't had a chance to start LO but I'm loving Eternal Sonata & Blue Dragon.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.
