Forums - Microsoft - why i am getting a 360

@ Leo-J

Dang, I didn't miss your trolling one bit. Welcome back, btw.

OT - Good choice. It depends on what you like - some folks love FPS and I'd recommend Call of Duty 4, Bioshock, Halo 3, Call of Duty 2, Condemned and the Tom Clancy games (Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon). If you love 3rd person shooters, gotta go with Gears O War, Saints Row and Crackdown. If you love RPGs, get Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata and Oblivion.

If you love driving, get Test Drive Unlimited on the cheap.

If you love sports, get Wii Sports. Uh, wait a minute ...

what was wrong with viva pinata... god that game was like crack.... and even non gaming girls loved it, i turned two people into gamers using that as a gateway drug... fantastic game.... felt very much like sim city only more perverted... showed me rare still has its grove

come play minecraft @  mcg.hansrotech.com

minecraft name: hansrotec

XBL name: Goddog

You have to get Crackdown. After a couple of days searching for orbs, you'll start to hear them in real life. Its so addictive. The whole point of completing the game is to make it easier to find orbs without worrying about being shot at.

Also, get Avatar to kickstart you Gamerscore.

Thanks a lot! After months of rehab trying to kick my Crackdown addiction you go an bring up the orbs. Now I wanna play it...

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

XBox 360: I recommend pick up Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Oblivion, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Forza 2, PGR 4, Guitar Hero 3, etc. Plenty of games available.

If you look at his Sig, he has a PS3. I would get CoD4 and Oblivion on the PS3 personally. Halo 3 is good if you are a Halo fan. It's got some nice stuff in it, but it's still Halo. GH3 is a toss up. The rest are great 360 games.

The best one however is Gears of War. Owning a 360 and not having that game is a crime :p

Maybe its the old man/soon to be parent in me but maybe you guys should find out what age Legend is (15) before you suggest games. That way you don't get him into trouble for trying to get or having certain games...

i would recommend halo 3, gears, and lost odyssey

Good point, the 92 in his name is probably the year he was born. That would make him 15-16.

BY the way there is going to be a 60GB XBox 360 model soon on the market which will replace the 20GB Pro. MS are working on a XBox 360 which has BLu-Ray drive in it so this will give the PS3 a run for its money. If Blu Ray is what consumers want, MS will deliver. Sony do not hold exclusive rights to Blu-Ray. I guess MS will have to pay to join Blu-Ray association and put Blu-ray in XBox 360.
Check this article from Gamepro on the new XBox 360.

The BIG problem with add-ons is: Not everybody has it!

The advantage of owning a PS3 over an xbox360 with bluray for playing movies: NONE that i can think of (still, we'll have to compare qualities once, its out)

The advantage of owning a PS3 over an xbox360 with bluray for playing games: What sort of dumb developper would limit its sales to "just people with a bluray drive" and discourage potential buyers?

Bottomline is: in 4 years from now most games will use most of the capacity of a bluray, there will be a bunch bilayered bluray games (50 GB) and a couple multi-disc games

Just imagine if the original xbox came out with a CD drive and an optional DVD drive that costed you about 150-200 bucks...

They are not giving sony a run for their money.. they are trying to repair a dumb mistake

PS3 is quieter and can actually play games on blu-ray. The 360 never will play blu-ray games, just like it couldn't play hd-dvd games.
