With Shulk and other Xenoblade stuff in Smash, I think it will have an "Fire Emblem Affect" where more people are interested and buy the games.


I'm hoping it goes like this: XCX > XC 3D > XC because XC was spread mostly by word of mouth/internet and was limited and the sales aren't good. XC 3D is exclusive to NN 3DS so that may affect it slightly, but I think with Smash and a decent install base it should do just fine.

Lastly, XCX has hype and is the newest and biggest game on Wii U and deserves to win.

XCX>XC3D>XC.

XCX has been hyped up and will be more available than XC, and as a result will sell more copies, and XC3D has been made more known to consumers (Nintendo Direct).

I feel Xenoblade Chronicles 3D will outsell the Wii version (due to the outrageous cost for a Wii copy). There seems to be alot of hype for XCX on here, so maybe it will outsell them all, not sure.

The New 3DS will sell more units than the Wii U, driven by the exclusives (and its features). Plus, you have the 3DS successor, which may be backwards-compatible.

So, XC3D > XCX. XC is overtracked, so it's going to the bottom of the barrel.

I'd say XCX > XBC > X3D

The new game has some hype to it and is actually advertised unlike the relatively unknown original. Not being limited by a single retailer in the US and being released simultaneously and with same fanfare as in Japan, I'd say this one can break a million sales and thereby beat the original Wii game. The port to 3DS is limited to only being playable on N3DS, which decreases it's potential customer-base to nearly 0. It also remains a low key game and combined with the fact that ports/remasters and remakes never beat the sales of the original (has there ever been one?) makes me think that one will finish last, with lower sales than the Wii game.
