According to the front page, Switch is tied with PSP right now. Both at 80.8 million.

However, the charts have PSP at 81.09 million, so it may still take one week for it to be official.

There are so many wrong things in that sentence...

Only 3 Nintendo consoles sold in that 20M-50M range (Gamecube, N64, SNES) and all others below (WiiU) or far above (literally all handhelds, the NES and the Wii, that's 6 out of 10 consoles before the Switch that sold more than typical.

the typical is not typical at all.

It is certainly funny that literally the first console released after this prediction is the one to prove it wrong.

In terms of shipment which is how most consoles are recorded sold at the very end, The Switch has most likely done it already.

Yep, as of VGChartz's numbers for the week ending March 13th, Switch has outsold the PSP.

This prediction is now, fittingly, as dead as the Vita.
