Not sure but I have a feeling it will sell much more than Sunset overdrive.  Much Much more.

I think reviewers actually generally play games on easy just because only have so much time before they have to go review the next game

A true testament to the quality of reviews.....

Yep. Reviews have been shit as long as I can remember. No arguement here lol

Sounds fair enough. I have no quarrel with QTE so it won't be a negative for me (unless the final boss or a major boss is QTE exclusive)

I'll get my money's worth if I enjoy the game and what it offers. I usually only play A new game for about an hour a day (If it is fairly linear, like TLoU and Uncharted) to elongate the over experience, makes me look forward to my next play if the game is interesting enough.

sorry but...It is.

So is Dying Lights. That game was great and gets love all over the forums. But as I digress it is multi platform.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

The cons are some major concerns, aren't they?

- Gameplay is meh
- You don't want to play it again
- You have to watch hours of cutscenes and the gaming part can be done in 180 minutes.

I don't see how a "great atmosphere" and "nice visuals" can be enough to get such a high score.
But yeah, that is the broken review system for you.

Where do you get gameplay is meh from? The cons say there's a lot of QTEs, which is a good warning for people who hate QTEs, but for those who are fine with them it's not a con. They say the QTE's interrupt gunplay, but they don;t say there's anything wrong with the gunplay itself. The mention "gameplay is quick" as a pro. Which I presume they mean it's fast paced, and therefore probably quite exciting. So you deliberately ignore the 3rd point in the pros in order to try to make the game look bad and that it doesn't justify the score the reviewer gave it.

Anything in there we don't already know?

Well, the 5 hour gameplay rumor was SUPPOSE to be debunk, as far as I know. This says it's 4 hours long which is... not good.

7.5 sounds too high based on the cons listed. The amount of time you spend watching the game is nearly as much time as you are playing the game, shameful.

It's shameful for a game with a strong focus on being cinematic to have a lot of cinematic? Huh.

but if you are paying 60 bucks for a game or 100 bucks in nz, you would hope to get a bit more gameplay then 4 hours right?  Being cinematic si cool, but you don't make nearly half the game cinematic. I wouldn't mind if its was 3 hour cinematic and 7 hour gameplay.

If you're paying 60 bucks for a game and are concerned that you're getting enough bang for your buck you may want to do some research beforehand.

lol true but a game shouldn't be that short and have half of the game with cutscenes and qte and then say quality is more important then the length of game. I will get it still as it will an etertaining enough eye candy to play

But dying light is not a great game imo, and at least the multiplayer is funny and add hours and hours to the experience... and you just can´t compare dying light with the order, you just can´t, the order is very linear, is plenty of cgis, is just moving forward to the end of the story and you don´t do almost anything (I watched almost the full gameplay) but Dying light is the opposite, is an open "free" world, you have freedom and the qte are just a part of the gameplay, not a core mechanic like in the order.

in other words they rushed XD

Seriously though i think most reviewers i read/watch do their reviews on normal, quite frankly all reviewers should do it on normal. Easy can be far to easy, it might be the difference between 1 shot kills in the leg versus 2 shots to the head etc. that might add an hour to the game

which brings it to a grand total of 8 hours!!! :P

Not just shot positioning, but also AI. The enemy may poke their heads up to be shot less often, might position themselves more intelligent in the battle zone, have beeter aim themselves and do more damage...

3 hours cutscenes and QTE? Well fuck...

Metal Gear is not impressed.   In Metal Gear Solid 4, the final scene goes on and on.  I'm not kidding. This shit is never ending.  And people still gave it a 10/10.

The ending was 1 and a half hour and the custscenesw after the credit was close to 30mins. I ended up falling asleep as it was quite boring lol
