Gamescom. See no reason to announce a price cut at E3 when they will have drought months June and July.

They will anticipate the bones shenanigans this holiday and won't allow such a great beating. They'll be ready with at least a $50 price cut by October. Hopefully having Uncharted + other exclusives to battle Halo.
I don't see it happening til maybe next year. They don't need it. Outselling their competition at the current prices.

I have no real foundation for my guess, but September feels about the right time. Most sales happen in Q4 anyway so as long as they continue to have a lead through the first 3 quarters of the year, I don't think they'll be in a rush to drop the price and will prioritise profitability over volume.
It is not happening before E3 that is almost certain. My bet would be one month after Uncharted
Don't copy random editorials.
Don't see it happening at E3. Why cut the price to boost sales across the summer, when sales are going to be modest regardless.
Gamescom in September is more likely. They have to cut the price this year if they don't want to see sales lower than 2014, so a $50, or $70 if they can manage it, sometime around September or October, would be the best bet I think.
I agree with the sentiment about cutting to 299. 349 would increase sales, but 299 would really open it to the mass market.
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
I think they might do it in the holiday season as that will give them a chance of keeping sales up considerably. I think it might have something to do with when MS start doing crazy bundles again.
