Seems reasonable. Even if Halo took a black eye it's still got power. Zelda is more a wild card, but the Wii U's install base will hinder it.

No it won't considering it has the highest attach rate. Smash Bros sold over 3m on it already, 1/3rd of its install base, which means out of every 3 people, one owns Smash Bros on Wii U with a 3DS version that already released. That is with a 9.2m consoles sold. Mario Kart 8 has sold almost 5m. The attach rate of the Wii U is very high and I expect Zelda U to sell over 6m lifetime.

Well, it *will* hinder it, question is how much.  Lower install base means fewer established customers to sell to.  Other factors include how many consoles it sells, if it is bundled, and how well it is received and promoted.  Zelda is not as consistent as other franchises when it comes to sales and attach rate.  That's why I said "wild card." :P

Two of those games that don't even have a release date (no idea what the hell LOZU is). U4 might not even be out this year, but people are comparing sales and metascore? Bizarre.

We never got sales data for halo 5 did we?

In abit over 3 months (the holiday season) it did like ~5m software sales (digital + physical shipped), since then.... nothing.
(probably 10m+ ?)

Uncharted 4, is over 16,25m back in march 2019 (it should be a decent bit higher by now). (maybe in the 18-19m range?)

Zelda breath of the wild is sitting at 31,15m since september 2023.

Zelda wins :)

O_O'  back before people knew of BoTW.

The monster awoke, and ate the world.

Zelda launching on the Switch and not just the WiiU invalidates all sales predictions in the thread. Putting Zelda last in sales was the right call when it was expected to be WiiU only.

I was about to ask what the fuck LoZU is but then saw the date of the topic. OP's post aged like milk.
