Good summary of what's wrong with this. I've felt Eurogamer have been getting a bit full of themselves recently


Haha, beat me to it, just wanted to post this.

As for EG, I like to read lot of their stuff (like today's story on Godus'...let's say fiasco), but I almost never read their reviews - they're just mostly terrible at reviewing games. And yeah, my feel also is that overall pompousness has been oozing from their pages for quite some time now.

The only reviews that work are reviews made by a reviewer with the same tastes as you. Generally, you'll disagree with any other review (to some degree).

Find one reviewer who seem to agree with you on the games you like/hate, and chances are that they'll like the same future releases as you would.
