Would've been OK. For Nintendo's purposes though being able to secure the James Bond game rights for a further 10-20 years would've been better though.
What I heard was when they got the rights to GoldenEye, they could've gotten the overall rights to Bond for like peanuts for years as the Bond license had declined a lot in the period between the Dalton films and before the start of the Brosnan era, but they opted not to.
Nintendo already generally skews pretty well with the audience that enjoys Harry Potter though.
