Annualized revisions of handhelds.

Annualized games such as pokemon.

Annualized franchises.

Soon we probably get annualized revisions of Consoles as well.

Probably New set of amibos every year as well.

And i bet you all are praising and kissing it.

Loving incomplete games.

What about these pokemon games?

Each new pokemon game, is the same game, but got two different editions. and you need both versions to get all the pokemons. i never thought about that until now. Same game, but if you wanna collect them all, you need both versions. WOW.

If people can't see that Nintendo got the worst ( clever way to milk folls ) tricks in the world to sell products, just let them waste those shitty $$$.

Nintendo wouldn't have needed to release 2-3 different version of the same pokemon game, if people complained about it and refused to buy them, but that will never happen. people will shut up, take up their wallets, give everything they have to nintendo, for buying the same games, over and over with slightly better graphics each gen, or each year. Even two .

They even buy 5-6 versions of the same damn handheld. Next Gen of nintendo handheld, i rather wait 7 years before i buy something from them, cause they will probably save the best for last, to drag those sales the longest

Why are you so worked up? This is just a harmless prediction thread. If you don't change your attitude, then I'am afraid you won't be here for too long.

I would say the PS4. I would say it will come down towards how well received The Order 1886 is received. If that happens, I would expect a 7,000 difference with the following numbers:

PS4: 260K

3DS: 253K

If The Order doesn't do well, then the 3DS will win by 3,000

3DS: 253K

PS4: 250K

This prediction are too low for both console...

N3DS have sold 250,000 only first week in Japan, and this NPD 3DS will have 3 week with New version (+1 week bonus with 10,000-15,000).

Also PS4 last year have sold 285,000, i agree that it will dropped in January, but in February will be for sure up.

I'm going against most here and will say PS4.

Same game every year just like Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, FIFA, Madden, Forza, Halo, Ratchet, God of War. U don't buy both versions, barely anybody does that, the point is to promote trading with other people because the goal is to make it a social game.

They're not annualized franchises. Not even if you count the spin offs (which is silly, it's like inclduing Pokemon Snap or Colliseum or whatever when talking about pokemon).

OT: I think the 3DS will take it.

Ratchet has had a new entry almost every year. But if we aren't including games like Halo 3:ODST, Master Chief Collection, or God of War Collection/Origins/Sagas then why is it okay to include games like Crystal, Emerald, Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire?

Take away remasters and expansions from Halo/GoW and they become franchises with new installments every 3 years or so just like if u take away remakes/expansions from Pokemon and it becomes an every 3 year franchise.

Ratchet has had a new entry almost every year, and only if you count the spinoffs. Each to their own, but I don't consider All 4 One and Qforce (and Deadlocked for that matter) as "actual" Ratchet and Clank games. They have some very big differences in the gameplay.

For God of War, you don't only have to count the remakes to almost make it annual. you even have to include the Vita port of the collection, and the God of War Saga which is just a bundle of two collections. A bit of a reach imo.

If I'm gonna do like you are doing with ratchet, then pokemon will still almost be an annual franchise even after you remove remakes/expansions, because it has like a gazillion spin offs. However I don't think Pokemon is an annual franchise so I don't really care about that. I just think it's odd that you'd call Halo/GoW/Ratchet annual franchises.

3DS.

At first, when I saw this thread, I thought "PS4." Then I remembered that the new 3DS is launching this month, so I think the 3DS has a good chance at beating the PS4 for this month.

I'm not very sure. Both of them will definitely do very well this month.

I'll give u Ratchet because like u said they are very different in terms of gameplay.

Ya for GoW it is a bit of a stretch but if it's ok to add remasters of 10 year old games then I'm going to include constant porting of the same games multiple times. That was part of his original argument, people buying the exact same game year after year. Rereleasing the PS2/PSP titles multiple times over the course of a few years is way worse than making a built from the ground up remake 10 years after the original release.

As for Halo, including expansions/remasters, it has been annual since 2007 with the exception of 2008 & 2013, just like Pokemon has had a new gen/expansion/remaster every year in that timeframe with the exception of 2008.
