This game is survival horror, though. It doesn't have to be scary to be a survival horror, although it's appreciated.

To each his own. Felt more like an action game to me.

Action is a component that can be present in survival horror games. I mean, I don't know how you qualify it, but Resident Evil 4, for example, is widely-regarded as a survival horror game. There's plenty of action to be found in it, and the game isn't scary.

You allready can buy the season pass for 12€ down from 20€ until 19 february on the ps4 PSN store, for ps3 its not shown for some reason. I am not sure if its for xbox too or entire eu tough

I don't buy season pass, though. I'll get it when it's ready, but I don't feel like giving developer early money for a content I've yet to see.

True, but for smaller or new studios its a good way to fund them just like you would give them money for a kickstarter lending money for games. For franchises who allready exist its a very stupid move in buying it, but new ips from new studios its a good way to support them for sequels and new games.

best horror games since dead space 2

I dont think so, it has all kinds of traps there and ammo is very limited. Its called survival horror after all and the evil within takes the survival apsect more than the horror one, thats what i can tell from what i have played so far

How this game even managed to pass 2 mil is a mystery to me.

This game isn't even close to survival horror.

Anyways, the reviews haven't been that great and I haven't exactly seen much hype for it. If this game sold 3m copies you'd think Bethesda would be shouting it from the rooftops for a new IP to be this successful.

I remember when Dishonored sold 1m Bethesda was shouting its success and thanking its fans saying it just created a new franchise.  Now Evil Within supposedy tripled that and they don't say anything.  Definitely weird.

Alien isolation has many weakpoints, the characters for example are very boring and unintresting, you encounter countless people which will die 5 minutes later. Even the main characters, like the original crew arent easy to recognize during the game. The evil withins main characters are pretty clear and their character design all different.

Why not? It has good graphics, some of the best i would even say for multiplats

this game was being sold for $20 on amazon just over 1 month after release, then i saw other sales in stores and on steam. I don't know if that is over shipping or what but i rarely see a game fall that fast.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X
