Counting all platforms the game sold close to 3.3 million, the ps4 version alone sold 1.5

in comparison Alien isolation sold only 1.6 million units, resident evil 6 just 5 million units.

Shinji mikamis small studio tango made a fantastic job, a sequel is gurenteed. DLC is allready planned to come out this year and it sounds promising.

I think its amazing how such a small studio with a unknown publisher just sells 3.3 million games. I hope capcom will look at these numbers and make their resi game similiar, survival horror is profitable now.

alien isolation is also overtracked
so I will say evil within did great(especially on ps xbox it did ok)

Alien Isolation is overtracked, at this point its probably just over 1m.  Tbh I have a hard time believing this sold so much, I'd guess its overtracked, but that's a guess based on ntn.

Yeah, should do about the same as RE6. That's pretty amazing for a new IP made by a small team. I hope Capcom realize that survival horror games have their place in the industry.

I'm happy this game has done well, I hope more Japanese games will follow suit. We need more "balance" and diversification in the market.
