Forums - Website Topics - The Truck Stop - Website Development Updates - Keyboard navigation, yes or no?

Would you enjoy the forums having keyboard navigation (J/K to move up and down a post)?

I'd like that A LOT! 24 22.86%

It would be nice to have 24 22.86%

I don't think I'd use it 30 28.57%

Not really 16 15.24%

See results 10 9.52%

Total:104

Besides.. There are like 100.000 member accounts.. Thats like 270 names per day which would make it useless..

People don't like our idea Starcraft it seems. We will keep our special calendar for now it seems then but I do think something which alerts you when friends have a birthday (be it a notification, a cake on their avatar Etc) would be useful and opt in ofcourse.

It would help make things feel like more of a community and it's something which we've seen before several times. The XBE is a good example, and Amp and I are others. There's very little which garners universal celebration quite like a birthday after all, and it would help to inject some positivity and add a more warm/friendly feel to proceedings.

That's just my opinion. I agree that there's a whole heap of things which could be done before but I like the idea. However I do understand some of the flaws you mentioned .

Hmm. A feature that would allow a mod to ban a user from accessing a thread would be useful to the mod team in my opinion. That user would still be able to post in other threads. It could be a step or additional tool a mod could use before locking a thread or outright banning a user. I don't know how difficult it would be to implement though.

thats too close to censorship, all threads would die out if we get rid of all persons saying something negative about the subject.. cause you know.. we are 90% hate 10% love on this site..

I rather find some alternatives to outright banning people. Maybe a lot of users would still be around if there were.

So, when I post a Link inside a Word by using the chain thing Like so: Kerp

And I set "Target" to "Open Link in New Window," it still opens the Link in the Same Window so help with that please

Also, if you can create an option to "open link in a new tab", that would be great!

(Special thanks to AbbathTheGrim for bringing this up)

If they limit it to people that posted atleast 100 times and are not currently permabanned or something like that it'll probably drop the total members to about 10,000.

Being able to sticky a thread or a few in our own vgchartz buddy in a spot would be awesome in my opinion. It would be handy for the big 3 threads or any other thread of interest someone might want to keep their eye on.
