I'm a huge Melee fan, but I would never act that way!

In other words, exactly what the Melee crowd were doing to the Smash U players.

Melee isn't even that fucking good. Not good enough to be such an asshole over. Hell, no game is worth being an asshole over.

I certainly don't think Melee sucks, by any means. It was a great game for it's time that embellished a LOT over it's predacessor. However, I think that Brawl built upon and improved upon Melee THAT much more, and thus I liked Brawl a lot better. Still do. Melee is a good game, it just hasn't aged as well.

The Wii U game? Could have been great, but in certain specific ways (Adventure Mode, etc.), it took some disheartening big steps backward.

I've read the statement from the SSB Wii U winner and the whole article. These fans were way out of line and tarnished what seemed to be a fun event. I wonder how is everything going to escalate due to this, because measures should be taken so this doesn't turn ugly next year. I'm not a fan of Smash nor do I follow any of those events, but I feel embarrassed because of those miscreants, since they give a false impression of what's a gamer.

I'm not very familiar with these competitions but those uncivil douchebags had no reason to be there. Next time, policy should be mended to kick this sort straight out of the event at first offense. Staff will be like, "shit just got real motherf**kers."

As someone who's a big fan of Melee, this disgusts me.
