Only down 607 units from last year is pretty impressive considering last year had the Japan launch

Not really..  First few months of 2014 the console was still hard to find in most markets..   Inventory has been well stocked for ALL of 2015..  I am surprised about the decline in sales at this point..  2nd full year for consoels is USUALLY a growth year..  granted.. this is just 2 months. I will be more curious to see where we end up by May..  If Jan - April are down..   that says that PS4 growth is slowing for sure..    we would then see a $50-$100 price drop for holiday 2015...    Might have not been needed with Uncharted 4 releasing..  but it will now if this is the case..

PS4 is up yoy like Sony showed in the last released numbers.

Having some shortages in some countries only really means some sales were displaced by a few months. It is unlikely that the people looking for a PS4 last year with no luck waited a full year to get one. PS4 looks like tracking a bit ahead of last year in general, and considering it is the same price, I think that is decent. There will almost certainly be a price cut this year, and I think that will have a big affect on holiday sales.

Not sure what you are talking about.. My point was..  During Jan-Feb last year there was shortages..   So sales were LOWER then they should have been.. So to be OUT of those 2 months and have ANY sort of decline is not good..  They should be SUBSTANIALLY ahead since there is no shortages as of this year..   Sales should be BUILDING each year..  especially when compared to a time when there was shortages..  Not sure what "waiting a full year" has to do with anything I said. Not what I was talking about at all.

10 days of difference if I'm not mistaken... even VGC have PS4 over 150k in one week (7 days).

Wow the Ps4 is just down by 100k despite the japan lunch and without price cut... that's impressive:)

Hopefully PS4 can pick up some steam, it is important that the market leader has good growth YOY. Hopefully Bloodborne can give some boost but does PS4 have what it takes to match last year with Destiny?
