Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo's 2015 Release Schedule (SMTxFE mentioned + Yoshi 1st Half)

Looks like no Fatal Frame for the US. Typical NOA, brain dead.

Also seems like Nintendo is sticking to Project: Guard and Project: Giant Robot being their own releases and not something to be tacked on with Star Fox.

I wonder if they will be eShop only releases or what.

Mario Maker is probably Q3. Also they are still listing Shin Megami Vs Fire Emblem. :P

2nd half of 3DS looks pretty empty. Atleast they announced "New" Fire Emblem. More to come at E3.

I think i'll be good if those listed games release this year.

Edit: They should definitely localize Fatal Frame. Would be good way to add another game to the roster.

SMT x FE will never get released.

I think honestly it will, but on the next-gen Nintendo handheld. Fire Emblem sells a lot more on handhelds, it just makes more sense there.

so i was right, ive been thinking that mario maker got pushed out of first half 2015, looks like i was right :O

I did not know that Mario Maker was a temporary title. (Title as in name, not game.) I'm also happy to see SMT X FE still being mentioned.

So SMT x FE is basically Nintendo's The Last Guardian? Got it.

I can see it.

Confirms that it doesn't mean that a game gets delayed when they're not talking about it in a Nintendo Direct.

Except for Mario Maker. It was originally a 1st half release.

I think it got delayed because it could sell very well for Christmas.

Nope. Not brain dead. Only 60K units sold in its more popular market. No one cares about it.

To be fair, it outsold the original Fatal Frame in Japan, as well as Fatal Frame 2 Wii Edition and this is taking into account that Japan just doesn't care for consoles anymore. It's never really been a super successful franchise, even in Japan. I think if they want to get any sort of profit from this game, they're gonna have to bring it to the west. They may decide against it though.

Edit: It also sold very, very close to Fatal Frame 2's numbers and only 10k away from the 4th, which is the highest selling entry in Japan.

Official Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Thread

So 2015 for North America could look like this based on that list and other comments from Nintendo (ie: Star Fox before Zelda).

Jan - Nada
Feb - Kirby Rainbow Curse
Mar - Mario Party 10; Mario Vs. DK
Apr - Project Giant Robot (?)
May - Splatoon
June - Yoshi’s Wooly World
July - Project: Guard
August - Mario Maker
September - Xenoblade X
October - Star Fox U
November - Legend of Zelda
December - Devil’s Third

My other question is what's the big Amiibo title for 2015? Amiibos are selling too well just to keep having ancilliary functionality as in Mario Party 10. There has to be a title in 2015 that uses many of them IMO. Splatoon? Scan in your amiibo (Marth, DK, Pitt, Samus, etc.) and they become a playable squid character?
