good point, and the fact that she's "pointing her gun at you" is not at all reasons for being CGI, or even a cutscene, considering the different angles this game seems to use. But the quality of this pic compared to the capabilities of the PS3 suggest this is CGI.

Sorry but that's still not in-game graphics, its CGI-cut scene. In-game refers to the gameplay engine, that's the consensus, arguing semantics and technicalities in the definition doesn't change the fact that's not in-game.

The theater modes in MGS alone are worth doing cutscenes. You can watch the game like a movie. My grandma liked MGS 1 because of that theater mode. FF remakes add cutscenes as well, and I like those. I never believed I was Solid Snake, so I guess I'm just one that doesn't worry about suspension of belief. It's all entertainment. I do hope that games make cutscenes skipable, though. Summons do get annoying.

Games without skippable cutscenes are as annoying as those DVDs that force you to watch the intro and don't allow you to skip to the main menu.
And no matter what cutscene it is, it's like seeing the Mona Lisa:
the first time she looks gorgeous
the second time she looks gorgeous
after 1,000 times, she's very "meh"
MGS4 has just been confirmed for the 360 and PS3. I'm waiting for the PS3 versions of FFXIII to be put on the 360. And honestly, I'm sick and tired of the shit Square-Enix is putting out anyway. FF12 may have been the best selling FF ever, but its a fucking boring exercise of letting the game play itself, they should have just called it "FF cruise control". The story was phenomenal but they basically castrated all of the elements that made the world shown in FFTA unique. There was a very low ceiling in customability, there was very little in the way of deviating from the linear path set before you in the game and the dissapointing absense of sidequests found in other Final Fantasies. FF11 was the biggest slap in the face for anyone who wanted to take in the whole of the FF series, a fucking MMO? Why even call it Final Fantasy? Sure it was ok, but what did it do that was so damn unique? What did it do that made it a Final Fantasy game? It wasn't a very good MMO and it wasn't a very good RPG, it was a bland attempt at innovation. FFX2 was just... oh my god... WTF!!! You fucking stupid ass Barbie fanboys and your dress me up Final Fantasy shit. At least the voice acting wasn't as unbearable as FFX. FFX was a fun game, a great game, the story and main characters were shit though. The only thing this abstract game succeeded in was setting the stage for Final Fantasy's popularity with 13 year old emo fangirls later to be cemented with the Kingdom Hearts Series. FF7 Spin Offs. Advent Children was great, but now we have a super exclusive version just for Blu-Ray? Fuck You Square! Fuck You Sony! Fuck You Blu-Ray! And why are half the spin-off games on fucking Cell-Phone! NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY CELL-PHONE VIDEO GAMES! SURE ITS CONVENIENT IN JAPAN AND EVEN A BIT HERE BUT AT LEAST PUT IT ON THE HANDHELDS TOO! What is with Square and refusing to let their fanbase settle down with any crossplatform version of anyone of their games or spin offs, why does everything have to be on a completely different format? Sure they want to encourage success but if they want that they should just dump Sony. Don't get me wrong, Square has made some gems as of late, but why everyone acts like the Final Fantasy franchise is gaming gold is beyond me. This isn't the days of the Playstation or SNES. I'm so tired of gaming being hijacked by 13 year olds.
i have a feeling final fantasy is never gonna be the same...12 lacked the feeling of"oh i really care about this character" feeling...
