Pretty sure PAL supports 60Hz these days. On the other hand, apparently Virtual Console games on PAL Wii Us are still 50Hz.

Of course it does. But back in the days, when gaming was still cool and hardcore, we often just played ~20% slower than our brethren in NTSC-Land.

I remember some of my Gamecube games asking me if I wanted to play at 50Hz or 60Hz. That must have been around when the shift came.
PAL N64/PS1 games ran at a baseline of 25fps didn't they, because it was half of 50?
