I think it will be one of the most fun games of the year, but I don't know if it will move any hardware really.

Cartoony versions of genre-types that are more associated with hyper violence tend not to do great -- LEGO City is basically Grand Theft Auto for families/kids and that didn't really take off even with the huge LEGO brand, so I'm not sure if a cartoony Splatoon will either.

I think Splatoon sells around the same amout first week as well.

I haven't heard anything yet but will keep an ear out. That would definitely be Sweet!!!

Nope and I doubt it'll happen cause only one gamepad.

One played with Wii U gamepad and another player with pro controller and TV.

This splatoon looks like another W101 scenario. No one will buy a 250-300$ console for that game. Add another 50-60$ for the game here...
