Its not on PS4.....therefore I don't see the issue.

/thread.

I'm not on xbox but I'm on pc and ps4 so it's an issue for me. Keep thread open

In the context of Xbox 1 vs PS4 library it isn't an issue.

But if you feel that PS4 in itself doesn't complete you as a gamer that you require a gaming PC, then thats your choice ;)

so if the thread is not directly related to only PS4 vs XB1 it should be closed? Great logic right there! It is though an issue in relation to some gamers but not many. The only thing losing out here is the X1 console because it is not needed exclusively to play this game. BTW my gaming needs are more than satisfied. You should see my PS3 backlog.

Hype and advertisements doesn't determine if it's sucessfull or not and I am sure the game was a success when it released, now the game sold at least 2 million without digital sales.

It didn't meet EA and MS expectations.  They basically gave the game for free the month it released in that promotion because it came up short. It failed to even win that npd for the one.

Last time I check Titanfall was the top selling software in March AND April NPD.

That's not exactly hard given the hype and marketing push. If GTA 6 came out and was the top selling game for a month but only sold 4 million you would say it's a massive failure. It's all about reletivity, and given the Titanfall situation it definitely under performed especially in the shifting Xbox One's scenario.

Cool story bro. Its 4 million + sold, not sure now much of that is digital sales. It was a massive success but it could have been better. We get it.

It was nowhere near a massive success. It completely failed to live up to the initial hype and despite a massive marketing push it failed to aid the Xbox One greatly against the PS4. That was the aim and it's why the X1 version released first.

I remember the time when exclusives were important for Vita and this console useless because of " no (exclusive) games" even if all multiplatform games were not on 3DS, it's the exact same logic from gamers point of view( to not talk about sales), but the answers are different, strange

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

I don't know where you are going with this, you consider it a failure because of the Xbox vs PS4 situation? You aren't making sense at all. But if you consider it a failure base purely on hype would you also say that Destiny was a failure as well even with all those sales it had?

Same is true of many of Sony's exclusives, so I don't think this is a big deal. PC gaming is way more popular than it used to be, thanks in large part to the impact of indie games and services like Steam.

Many third party PlayStation indie games are also on PC, but first- and second party games published by SCE are with very few exceptions all on PlayStation consoles. And the upcoming first- and second party games are only coming to PS4.

i consider destiny to be a failure in terms of the hype because that turned out to be half a game aswell. its sells were much better than titanfall but that's because it came out on ps4 so it prob did similar to titanfall. but if they made that game with twice the content it prob would be doing a lot better than it has. Activision shareholders made it clear they weren't happy with the sales.

I don't know what you mean by the "xbox vs ps4 situation" but the situation i'm familiar with was one where the game was hyped to be the next gears of war and the xbox one's saviour versus the ps4. i didn't create that situation so don't blame it on me. some xbox fans, the media and EA did.

It came out and the month of release it couldn't even get the xbox one to win npd. destiny on the other hand gave ps4 a massive september victory. One of these games moved consoles in big numbers but the other didn't. I do think Destiny is ultimitely a failure to but just to a lesser extent.

Well Destiny's failure in hype is one thing we agree on. But still like Sales said Titanfall sold at least 4 million between 3 platforms with the Xbox One version selling more or doubling the 360 version without digital sales. So no matter how you spin this Titanfall is a sucess. We are done with this discussion.

So it went from being exclusive to one M$ platform to two? OMG MEGATON!!!

By the same token, PS4 "exclusives" like No Man's Sky and Street Fighter V aren't exclusives either, because they also will be appearing on Windows platforms.

Here is a Megaton for you.  If MS can do Xbox to PC streaming, why could they not do PC to Xbox streaming.  Now all those indie games MS cannot get on the X1 become X1 games.
