Gosh, so you're telling me you haven't played any of the DS's and 3DS's libraries? You should be buying one at this very moment. Lots of catching up to do.

The 3DS XL is big enough to play games on. This isn't the GB/GBA era anymore.

The screen on the New XL is plenty big!

And screen size only really becomes an issue in certain genres. Yes, you need a fairly big screen for a military RTS or something like Mario Galaxy. But for games like Mario Kart, Zelda and the 2D mario games, screen size really doesn't matter that much because everything relevant is happening at the centre of the screen anyway.
