I think Donkey Kong is much bigger than Yoshi. Don't really see why Yoshi would outsell it, except maybe having a slightly bigger user base at launch.

Yoshi is going to hit 1 million very soon, is already on the pre-order charts without a date release, people loves Yoshi, it doesn´t feel like is gonna be just more of the same than the previous one like happens with Tropical Freeze, that looks very similar to returns until you actually play it and discover that is so much better. There´s something on the time you release a game, and TF was realeased on a terrible time, but I strongly believe that Yoshi is going to sell way faster, and probably getting more critical support too (even if is hard to be better than TF), but you know, not dissapointing "Retro is not doing a Metroid" this time.

Slightly?WTF?
DK TF released when wii u had 5.5m userbase,Yoshi's WW will release when wii u will have almost double the userebase it had in the release period of DK TF!
That's in no way slightly bigger userbase...
I really don't see Yoshi selling worse than TF ( which already sold pretty meh..), so Yoshi will probably sell more!

Historically, you're absolutely right, but Tropical Freeze garnered a fair degree of ill will from gamers for not being Metroid or an ambitious new IP, while Yoshi seems to be viewed much more favourably.

Hmm, maybe. I think those gamers are the well informed Nintendo gamers, and they are likely to complain but not likely to be put off buying the game. The majority of gamers are not so informed.
