Forums - Gaming Discussion - 1080p30fps vs 720p60fps

?

1080p 30fps 258 37.34%

720p 60fps 393 56.87%

lol vidu gamez r 4 chums 36 5.21%

Which do you prefer and why?

I personally think 720p 60fps is better

I would rather have smoother gameplay than better looking textures...

But what says you? (Is that even English...)

I would prefer 720p60fps on most games. Some games for 1080p30fps is fine like open world games but for the vast majority like fighters and racing, I would rather have the frame rate

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I'd rather have smoother gameplay over better quality.

Games are games, not movies.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

The difference between 30fps and 60fps is quite significant to me, the difference between 720p and 1080p isn't.

single player 1080P 30 FPS
multi player 720P 60 FPS

Really it just depends, but typically I would prefer 720p 60fps.

Depends on the game...

1440P @60 FPS

but always 60FPS, is better than resolution imo. I'd always go with max resolution at 60 FPS

Any resolution at 60fps. Frame rate affects gameplay and having it as smooth as possible is more important to me.

Fast paced games = 720p60fps
Slow paced games = 1080p30fps

imho.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
