Which is the typical line from every Nintendo apologist but I ask you: if a game gets made and noone is there to play it, does it still make a sound ?!
(yes, it's a paraphrazing of the falling tree / sound question)
My position is that rationalizing the total waste of great dev resources is silly. The franchise (before nintendo picked up B2 due to being cheap) was practiacally on hiatus, NOW it's dead.

On Wiiu less than half a mil. But I expect Nintendo to port to their next home console (along with many other WiiU games).
Wait, so you're telling me Bayo 2 sold more than Driveclub in the US?

If PS4 and Xbox One are what happens when thrid parties get their way, and SNES is what happens when they're controlled, then call me biased if you like, but I vote that they should be controlled. |
32bit era was still better tough

Italic: It is no more "dead" than before Bayo 2. Without Nintendo's funding, Bayo never would have gone beyond the first game anyway.
Bold: LMAO.
A real shame.
I wonder if it wasn't for Nintendo and MS funding Platinum's most recent games, whether the company would still be around. Have they made profit on any game so far? They don't have the biggest budget in the world, but even so it is hard to believe they are making money with games like Bayonetta and W101.

If nintendo hadn't picked it up in 2012, you can't prove it wouldn't be picked in the future. Nintendo just helped it to be made now -wrong place, wrong time.
The game is made and noone played it. It's a dud, it misfired. It's wasted potential. It serves no other purpure than to make the nintendo apologists feel better. You can't use the "salt" card either because the game bombed THAT hard.
nintendo has an issue with people perceiving that the only games on their systems are "nintendo" games. alot of people wont even look at anything else. that happens when people buy ur system as a 2nd or 3rd option. really sad!!!

It appears so, what's more is that Bayo 2 was launch 2 or 3 weeks after it and with a lower userbase.
Proud to be a Californian.

I think that the post 32 bit era was much better for third party because it allowed them to be freer with whichever platform they wanted to. They were not beholden to Sony post Nintendo. With Nintendo everyone was beholden to them until someone got enough marketshare to pose a threat. If I was a third party developer no offense, but I wouldn't be quite fond ot them.
