I except 90 million in end

It will be tough but it's certainly possible.

I'm right here with you except I believe wii U > GC

Pretty cool thread you got here
I agree, this gen won't make it. Nintendo took the risk (like last gen) of adding something new to each system but this time it didn't work. The 3D on the 3DS & the GamePad on the Wii U only added to the price of the systems but didn't add much value to the average consumer.
This made the systems more expensive than normal by Nintendo standards for little reason.
I also agree with you and expect that Nintendo can get back to the 100M+ trend if they learned anything from this gen
it certainly will be interesting to see what they have planned.

Thanks buddy. And I don't have any problem with trying new, unconventional features to their devices but not if that means they will launch $100 more than they should.

The wii + DS goes to show what happens when Nintendo is successful with both their handheld and their console! That generation was like magic for Nintendo in terms of sales
This thread should also show why having a single "sku" is a bad idea cause if it flops, you dont have the other to carry it
PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850
It's interesting how their numbers are so consistent, excluding the 7th generation of course. I think this might be the first generation that don't reach 100 million combined.
I choose to believe that the DS/Wii destroyed their reputation by going after a fickle audience that has since gone to mobile. Gamers went elsewhere. That's why the numbers are so low this gen.
This... Is oddly consistant... With the exception of last gen of course. I'd say they still have a decent chance of reaching 100m again this gen, with 80m 3DS and 20m WiiU at least. A repeat of the 6th Generation.
Could als include the 3m Color TV-Game systems they sold in Japan during the very first gen, but I agree that's not really useful

And that would still be insanely profitable for Nintendo. My goodness gracious did we just discover that 15 million Wii U's could actually WORK for Nintendo?
