If you do not think that Infamous SS and Killzone SF sold consoles then I do not know what to tell you.

Sony is the most trusted videogame brand in the world. I told the 360 owners last gen that if Microsoft ever launched side by side or remotely close to Sony they would lose. This was years ago. Almost every gaming website admitted that Microsoft had the better launch titles even though they had a terrible launch perception. Sony still beat them. Also, Sony is known to amass a huge library of exclusives and people have become used to that for three generations now. Its only a matter of time so MS has their work cut out for them. Once again, if Killzone and InFamous were console sellers they would've sold much more. InFamous would've sold at least 4 million copies. God of War has sold much more than InFamous ever has and that is considered the King of Hack N slash in sales.

I agree with you sunset has a lot of potential and had a really nice start. They need to keep that game as apart of their catalog.

Exactly. The game is the definition of fun in the purest sense. It needs some work to make it a 9.5 level game but it has had a great start.

I agree. If it can overcome the repetitive mission problems that arise in all sandbox games, tweak the humor, and gain an understanding that it doesn't need the scale of a AAA game to be good, it can seriously be something special. Playing it feels a lot like playing old SNES beat em ups or games like Contra. (minus the difficulty) I can be glorious if it manages to figure out why those games are so fun the whole way through.

Id imagine they sold some consoles......?  Are you telling me these games played no part in PS4 sales when both are in the top 15 best selling PS4 games?

@Stage btw

Some at best. Even the White Sunset Overdrive limited edition bundles sold out in no time. Its Microsofts fault that they didnt bundle that through the holiday season. Sunset Overdrive would most definitely have been over 1 million in sales.

People say bundle sales don't count or contribute to the total.  And some people say the opposite.  NEver know what to believe.  But yeah, If that made that white console $400 or $450 for black friday and on it would have sold huge amounts.

I don't remember a xbox game that started slowly and pick up sales and showed good legs. It seems like what they sell in the first 10 weeks represent around half of their total sales. There might be some games which will be exceptions.

I wonder what you consider Wii Sports record breaking sales then. Curious....

Id consider them Tier C sellers and library builders.  They get people interested in the console and with more games they will buy it.  They dont sell like Halo, Gran Turismo, Uncharted, and Gears but they still sell consoles.  NOt a ton, but some, so i will agree with you :)

As for the WHite bundle, it was extremely limited.  It was only like 50k (guess).  So that is one reason they sold out so quick.  They should have bundled it more though i agree with that as well.  I imagine they will bundle it again at some point with a regular xbox one.  The White XBO will probably be bundled with something else this year.  Seems like theyre trying to keep it rare so people buy them quickly

Bundle sales count.  They dont count on NPD but VGC counts them

I could personally care less about ever seeing Sunset on playstation. Looked like a kids version of Infamous.
