Forums - Gaming - So is anyone actually excited for Evolve?

Since its reveal the media and the dev/publisher have been making a big fuzz about this game, kinda trying to replicate the Titanfall effect (look how many awards we got at E3 guys) but I really haven't seen gamers respond to the media hype at all, which on the one hand makes me almost certain that the media was somehow paid off to hype this game and on the other hand makes me wonder if there are any people on here genuinely hyped for it.

I personally think the game looks boring and definitely not worth $60 but that's just my opinion.

I honestly think everything about it sounds boring so far. The kind of concept that would translate well into a movie, but would absolutely fall into repetitiveness after the first ten matches. Does the game has any singleplayer component, at all? If yes, I might give it a chance one day. If not, then...meh.

A friend of mine is VERY hyped for this game. To me, it looks ok, could be a good bit of fun.

No, the game looks like shovelware and I hated Left for Dead so it's almost guaranteed I'll crap on the devs behind Evolve too in the end ...

I want to like this but like you ... I dunno, it just doesn't excite me. I am keeping my eye on it tho until release.

Nothing interests me about it. I'm guessing the media is so high on it because they play it in large settings which isn't how the game will be played after its launch.

I am. But when I think about I realise how hard it's going to be to play with 4 people you actually know and can communicate with.

Nope. Not a single person anywhere in the world lol

No but seriously, it never really interested me from the start. Seems like it would become boring after a week at best.

I'm interested but not excited. My brother is excited, though, and he'll probably get it for his birthday, so I'll get to play it either way.

Not at all, looks like a bargain bin game I'd pick up a couple years after it comes out.
