Well whoever buys it can just go buy a new gamepad like like Nintendo promised we could do for those 2 gamepad player games... Yeah -____-

Seriously though I wouldnt remove the comments, the gamepad is needed to set up the damn system, change settings among other things. Its kinda required

Actually if the Wii U is already set up and not reformatted, then you don't need the GamePad to play games unless the game says you need it.

You can play most Wii U games perfectly fine without the GP actually

Most is probably an acurate term in this case, but there are lots of games that do not operate without the gamepad. Additionally some of the apps and other software do not work without a gamepad.

To me, a Wii U without the gamepad is literally pointless.

I'd offer that guy $50 at most.
