Halo 5 should do amazingly well (1:3 Attach rate)

but I can understand your concern though and kinda agree. I want Halo to evolve but down its own path, I have a feeling that 345 will feel pressure to look more towards other shooters instead of innovating. Hopefully they will do both, but for next gen Halo I'm really hoping they surprise us (Destructable environments, dynamic obstacles in maps, more unique weapons like a freeze grenade?) Just a few things off the top of my head. Its still early days and you really can't judge much of a year early better probably just released to help sell systems.

I agree with the title but not the thesis. I think Halo is still the marquee Xbox series. It's a remarkably versatile franchise that has expanded into several non-gaming media, one that shows no signs of slowing down.

Where Halo "isn't what it used to be" is in its unique gameplay and in its overall quality. By borrowing ideas from other shooters, notably Call of Duty, Halo, starting with Halo 4, began to lose its identity. The result was an average game that appeared to prioritize graphics and presentation over level design and gunplay. I fear Halo 5 will continue that trend.

So, in that sense, I think Halo will never be the same. In terms of sales and mind share, however, Halo is still a powerhouse.

I agree that the strength of the Halo brand is declining but I still think the series is very popular.

It will sale fine, did what 8m on a 20m user base.

When it was fresh, cant say tat now

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Fact: While Halo 5 will sell really well, it won't save the Xbox One. I wouldn't even be surprised if the X1 ends up being down YoY in 2015

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I'm very eager to see how well Halo 5 holds up, stability-wise on release.

343 still has a decent track record, but we'll see.

I'm pretty sure Halo 5 will be the worst selling mainline entry since Halo 1.

8 million lifetime.

I'm sure it will be a great game though!

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Sorry, but Bungie was terrible at telling the Halo story. 343 is doing a great job with the franchise. Halo 4 was great. Halo 5 Guardians looks awesome. I think it will sell around 8 million pending Mountain Dew has something to say about it. If you ask me, COD is the reason why Halo fell off the map. If you look at the Xbox Live most popular games list from Halo 3's launch last gen it was the most popular game until COD:MW came out. It became the second most popular game on Xbox Live has it hasn't shifted from that spot for a while now.

You and me don't tend to agree most of the time, but I gotta say I concede with you there. Halo's lore is powerful, but the way Bungie handed the story to the players over the original trilogy wasn't that good. I've yet to play Halo 4, but Halo 5 does indeed look great.

It's can't doing less then 8 millions

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
