Ah so they only matter when it's PS3 games, gotcha.

Then you better be very explicit in your requirements, and say "has to be using ingame engine" (though at this moment in time we can't actually say for sure if it actually does), otherwise people can and will post things like this.

| Nuvendil said: The character models sit around Skyrim level (perhaps a touch better, hard to say) with better textures and a different distribution of polygons (although some of the outfits result in high polygon counts like Elma's armor) and of course better shaders. That's what I've been able to determine after giving a close look at the game and examining Skyrim. Which is about what is to be expected when they are budgeting resources for better world visuals, especially the big picture with LOD and all that. You have to ignore the stylization which obscures some of the detail. |
They look quite better than skyrim's characters, especially the bodies/clothes/armor. faces are separated by artstyle but are also better modeled/texturized on xenoblade

I didn't feel the need to state the obvious.

Either way until the game actually releases, we really shouldn't be comparing screenshots which cannot accurately be attributed to ingame, in engine, or FMV, and certainly not using tiny images as in the OP, along with lossy then and now comparison shots.
Just doesn't make sense.

I don't understand what you mean or it's relation to this thread.

it's been a long standing argument on these forums, that "in-engine" and "in-game" graphics quality differences are not the same thing, and that using in-engine cutscene graphics as "proof" of a games graphical prowess is misleading.
If that's the case, it should be the same for all consoles.

the xenoblade screenshots are ingame.
