Seem legit?

Yeah totally 10 9.17%

Well, some parts 25 22.94%

Somethings but mostly not 48 44.04%

Nothing at all, dingus! 26 23.85%

Total:109

And the wii u versions arent going to touch those numbers.

The problem is not mario, the problem is nintendos lack of innovation.

Old IPS are cool, and nintendo makes the most fun games, but they arent selling points for the console anymore for the non-nintendo-fan market.

PS4 has sold double of what wii u sold in half the time, because it has three things
1) New IP's
2) Classic IP's
3) Healthy amount of 3rd party games

And as long as nintendo fans cant accept that, #2 is all you'll get.

last point: ps4 has sold based on thin air. and remakes, lots of remakes (which require about 1/1000 the energy of making a new entry in a recognizable series with recognizable characters). it's headed the way of the wii, which it didn't even outperform first year (fell short by 2m+). it will not sell stratospheric numbers of consoles, it will sell ~80m. so ps3 figures. in fact, unlike the ps3, it won't have that momentum at the end. all the sales momentum is front-loaded. vgchartz just revised sales downward, btw.

last word from me, sorry. and sorry to op we've derailed your post. i stand by my predictions above about some of the 2016 titles, especially metroid, animal crossing and new platinum game.

Well the biggest bumps in the year for ps4 sales didnt come from TLOU, it came from Watchdogs and Destiny. (If not counting the holiday season)

So no logic to that. Ofcourse remakes sold a lot of units, but almost every significant game in the launch sold units, even shadow of mordor, once again a new ip

a DK family game 2016

Sign me up for a new 3D Mario.

NOT another 3D World/Sunshine/Galaxy.

People need to stop wanting/expecting that. Let's have something new.

The reviews are not the point!

There is no evidence that reviews encourage sales, and many cases they hardly discourage.

My point, people want new games, new ideas and new experiences.
WD and Destiny were new games. TLOU was a new IP.
All three sold tremendously and exceeded most of our expectations.

Hell according to vgchartz Destiny outsold TLOU, but TLOU was getting 100's almost everywhere.

Nintendo need that new IP that makes people jump the same way people jump when they saw the intial reveal of watch_dogs, TLOU etc.
And every so often top it off with a really good mario game and people will appreciate the mario game more.

Very dissapointing lineup if even remotely real. Lack of original and strong IP's is what's keeping me from wii u currently(though i do have access to one)
I dont wanna just play games that are sequels or advanced versions of classic nintendo games

original and strong ip like what? i think there's plenty of that on the wii u. what's the original and strong ip on the xbone/ps4? i can only think of sunset overdrive on the former.

WII U New IP's published by Nintendo
Wonderful 101
Hyrule Warriors (kind of)
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker (kind of)
Splatoon
Project Giant Robot
Project Guard
Devils Third (i'll give them that)

PS4 New IP's published by Sony
Knack
Doki-Doki
Resogun
Driveclub
CounterSpy
Entwined
Hohokum
Bloodborne
The order 1886
Until Dawn
Hell Divers
The Tomorrow Children
Kill Strain
Guns Up
Alienation
Drawn 2 Death
Everybody's gone to the rapture
Rime
Wattam
What Remains of Edith Finch
WiLD

A few AAA's in there, and a few from 2nd/3rd party studios.
And in less time.

Nintendo's issue is when they come up with a unique idea, they have to stick a mario on it, or one of there wide array of characters.

You obviously play PS4 and not Wii U because I can think of a couple of indie games on the Wii U that you didn't mention, like Tengami, Little Inferno and Shovel Knight. I'd have to do more research in order to get the bigger picture but I can instantly see that you're cherry-picking.

There's no Bayonetta 3 on that list. There needs to be some Bayonetta on that list. And Captain Toad Treasure Tracker 2.

How many of these games were actually announced? Or is it pure speculation.

2016 is probably going to be dreadful for Wii U. Retro's next title will be the highlight. The next 3D Mario will likely be on another system.

I think 2016 software output will be lower than 2015, maybe similar to 2013-2014 which each featured about a half dozen somewhat major exclusives.

Paper Mario

Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem

Animal Crossing

Metroid

Pokken Tournament

Diddy Kong Racing

These could be the big retail releases of 2016 which wouldn't be horrible.

Metroid is the only thing that would interest me.  Yay!  One game!!
