After what has happened with numerous Nintendo titles (including Yoshi's Woolly World) I would not assume extremes like that just yet. Also, every Nintendo console has seen support for at least 5 years. The Wii U still hasn't gotten Metroid, Paper Mario, any kind of Pokemon, Animal Crossing, any Fire Emblem. These are things that don't typically skip generations, and they will come to the Wii U one way or another. To believe the Wii U won't be supported at all in 2016 is simply wrong.

Very dissapointing lineup if even remotely real. Lack of original and strong IP's is what's keeping me from wii u currently(though i do have access to one)
I dont wanna just play games that are sequels or advanced versions of classic nintendo games

original and strong ip like what? i think there's plenty of that on the wii u. what's the original and strong ip on the xbone/ps4? i can only think of sunset overdrive on the former.

WII U New IP's published by Nintendo
Wonderful 101
Hyrule Warriors (kind of)
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker (kind of)
Splatoon
Project Giant Robot
Project Guard
Devils Third (i'll give them that)

PS4 New IP's published by Sony
Knack
Doki-Doki
Resogun
Driveclub
CounterSpy
Entwined
Hohokum
Bloodborne
The order 1886
Until Dawn
Hell Divers
The Tomorrow Children
Kill Strain
Guns Up
Alienation
Drawn 2 Death
Everybody's gone to the rapture
Rime
Wattam
What Remains of Edith Finch
WiLD

A few AAA's in there, and a few from 2nd/3rd party studios.
And in less time.

Nintendo's issue is when they come up with a unique idea, they have to stick a mario on it, or one of there wide array of characters.

You obviously play PS4 and not Wii U because I can think of a couple of indie games on the Wii U that you didn't mention, like Tengami, Little Inferno and Shovel Knight. I'd have to do more research in order to get the bigger picture but I can instantly see that you're cherry-picking.

I can tell you dont read thoroughly

Afai am aware neither of those titles were PUBLISHED by nintendo. Feel free to correct me if so.

Infact, I checked and neither of the three were published by nintendo. So I was correct.

My source was exclusively wikipedia, so there is a chance I could have missed a couple, please do tell me.

Otherwise please check your sources on the mentioned games.
(PS I dont have a wii u, my brother who lives in another house has one, and I like to play a bit of Smash and kart
infact I bought the games for it)

My bad, you're right. I misread the headlines of your post.

That being said, I would still count some of the indie titles, even if they weren't *officially* published by Nintendo. I know they've done quite a lot to promote anything that they've had a significant degree of exclusivity with.

There is also the long-established point that new IP =/= better. Mario's games are generally very fresh and original even if they use the same mascot. The same might not necessarily be said of a lot of new IPs.

really hope for that Animal crossing, i prefer it on console vs handheld. but really doubt smt x fire emblem is happening, which really really makes me sad.

If Bloodborne is a new IP than so is Xenoblade Chronicles X.

It's unrelated to Xenoblade Chronicles (different universe). The name is purely for brand recognition. They have a thing for Xeno lol.

You're also forgeting Lego City Undercover, it's a new IP whether you like it or not. So what if there are other lego games? Are PES and fifa the same ip because they both are about football? You also forgot about Pushmo. Doki Doki is also on PS3 and Vita.

I also never heard of most games on your list. Sounds like niche or indie to me. I prefer a well known game like Zelda then.

Oh, and you also forgot Codename Steam.
