Really impressive !

It looks awful. All the charm of the original has been sucked out. I don't think Super Mario 64 needs an HD upgrade, it still looks good to this day.

I expected some underwhelming HD texture project in the video, but this is a legit remake from what it looks right now.
But they need to fix Mario's death stare. And not use the "dirty" Brawl skin (seems to already be swapped to some galaxy-ish skin in the castle section).

I wonder how far they will get before the project gets shut down for various reasons.

Well, it's a work in progress, one should not expect too much from it. It's already not as awful as Mario 64 DS.

Typical, Nintendo have the best fans when it comes to fan made projects. From the Pokemon fan games, especially the larger ones in scale to somebody like MrBean35000VR or the guy who was making new levels in Galaxy.
Shit like this is always awesome, hell its why I consider MKW to be the best MK game. Not because of the base game but what the players managed to do to it over time.

It looks great for a fan project! But I'm sure Nintendo would do a better job... anyways, PC exclusive!
