Forums - Nintendo - Super Mario 64 HD Fan Remake - Developer Showcase

Wow.... This would be amazing. To me Super Mario 64 is the perfect 3d Mario game ever. Sunshine dropped the ball and Galaxy did not have the scale. This would be incredible but I don't see Nintendo ever doing a full remake.. They seem content with HD remasters which are ok for Gamecube games but the N64 games definitely show their age with very low polygon counts, limited textures etc.

I just want a brand New Mario Adventure Game on the Next Nintendo Hardware, with a GPU which is at least 2-3 times more powerful than PS4 GPU. Nintendo you must impress us !

Ocarina of Time 3D, Majoras Mask 3D and Starfox 64 3D are full remakes

A better job? At what? Nintendo hasn't tried to make a Mario 64 HD Besides, they made the colors way too dark.

Well, that probably won't happen. Super Mario 64 HD might eventually happen in the next few years. Or they'll recreate the levels in various "Throwback Galaxies" in SMG 3, but we won't see another OoT remake in the next 10 years unless they port the 3DS one to the Wii U with higher resolution and anti aliasing.

If it never happens, that's totally cool. I would much rather they focus their man-power on developing new experiences.

That is just amazing.
