Please, tell me more about the desktop computer that costs less than 80 bucks, but still can play Skyrim better than "the PS3" ever could.

In Canada, I can't buy a new PS3 for $150. $250 is more like it.

And used prices very from vendor to vendor, or if you just "buy it from a guy you know". I certainly haven't seen a used PS3 for 80 bucks. Ever.

A used PS3 is like 150 bucks. You will be hard pressed to even build a whole PC from that, let alone one that can run PS3 games. Even if you could by buying used and old PC parts it's never wise to invest in old technology.

I never said you could get one for 150. But I'm more supporting the fact that you can get a computer that plays PS3 level graphics for a decent price. You don't need to spend thousands like everyone around here seems to think.

I am still trying to wrap my mind around the notion of going to the store, buying a disc, then going home and downloading a game from Steam. Seems redundant and pointless.

Yet i was struggled to find the best mod for graphic in my first try, because not all card is compatible and some mod is easy to crash. so downloading, installing the mod (even sometimes installing the games or even fixing the code ) is freaking tiring.

That is true but that wasn't the hyperbole OP used. Consoles will always be superior in the performance/price department which is good, because it gives people with less money and less technical knowledge the means to properly play games.

It seems some PC fans aren't content with the fact that they already own the preformance crown forever and just want it all.

I run into way more tech issues PC gaming then I do console gaming. Also you do not have a 100$ PC that can out play a PS3 that is blatantly false and impossible. You might could out do a PS3 for 200$ if you get an awesome sale on all the parts. Cheap cases run 30$, 4 GB ram 25-30$, so you wont me to believe you got a Mobo and an APU that can outperform a PS3 (as well as various other parts) for 50? Didnt happen

You put the DVD in the DVD-ROM, then the auto-start starts the installer of the game. If it doesn't find Steam already on the system, it offers to install it.

And setting up a Steam account ain't more difficult than setting up a PSN or XBL account... you chose a name and enter some other data requested on the screen... it's no rocket science!

When Steam is set up, it auto-updates games and the newest directx-drivers. The graphic driver tells you, when a updated version is available and offers to install it. If you have a Nvidia-card and "Nvidia GeForce Experience", it even checks your hardware and offers to chose the most sensible performance settings for most games.
