Yeah, I'm not really seeing these 100 dollar PS3s you guys see. And that could be the difference between being in Canada and the US and other countries, and the differences in our currencies. But yeah, other than "some guy" selling his PS3 on kijiji, I see most used PS3s at EB going for at least 180.

The average PC user would not know what to do if a game continues to crash. PC gaming requires atleast some knowledge unless you only run indies. 

He said the PC was "cheaper" than a used PS3. I can get a used PS3 for less than 100$. a 100$ PC has no chance of outperforming a PS3, possibly 225-50$ if you get some awesome sales. As it has been said I have seen brand new PS3s in the low 100s.

Currency issues are possible. But lets say I give him credit for 150$ (you can get brand new PS3s for that easy) you still can not buy a PC that can outperform a PS3 for 150$.

It definately isn't easy when compared to consoles. It is especially hard if you want to get the most out of your hardware, like me.

Seriously a 2 second check of EB games Austraia showed me that I can buy a used PS3 for $138 ($108 is the cheapest but currently out of stock)

Well, firstly, the average PC user probably have used the internet before so what they will do is Google "Blah game keeps on crashing" and they will take it from there. Secondly, majority of the games are on Steam and so the most part, the games won't just crash unless the person is doing something terribly wrong... For the most part, the game will run at its default graphics settings and it will run just fine provided the system requirements are met

Yep. You guys keep saying that. And I'll keep saying that I only said that what he said wasn't far from the truth. I know you can't make a PC for less than a used PS3. If you had a hundred or two, things change.

And I'm just going to ignore this whole 80 to 100 dollar PS3 talk, because I'm basing my assumptions on what I observe here. Unless you find a good deal here, you're not getting one for that price.

Eh, Steam games crash all the time especially in the budget PC market. Steam can not help a problem with your driver. PC gaming REQUIRES atleast some knowledge. My 800$ rig crashes way more often than my PS4 and PS3

What does that even mean? With PC gaming, you can get tons of mods that will get the most out of ur hardware and the most out of ur games... And you don't have to upgrade a system for over 5 years... And not to mention, virtually every game is backwards compatible so if you buy a game from the year 1998, it will still run one way or another even if you have upgraded your PC several times and those games are also bound to have mods to make them look better

Yes, consoles are easier than PC but I feel like people are severely overestimating the "difficulty"
