Forums - Sales Discussion - OK, I faced it: WiiU can't sell over 15M

15M, too low or just ok?

With my heartbroken, I agree. 291 32.96%

A pricecut can still push it to 20M-25M. 426 48.24%

Nonsense. WiiU is an assu... 165 18.69%

Total:882

15 millions is a given.

It will reach 20 millions buts 25 millions will be hard.

Nintendo is changing alot and will bring enough games in the coming years to avoid the drought that caused bad console sales in the past. Wii u is an amazing system and will clear 15 easily in 2015!

Lol not sure if serious.

People nowadays use the "not sure if serious" comment too often. It's supposed to be used when someone is exagerating about something, which hardly is the case. Aside from "Nintendo is changin alot" which is his view and "will clear 15M easily in 2015" which is his opinion on the subject OP asked, the rest is pretty much factual.

But is is extreme exaggeration. Selling 15m by end of 2015 is almost double of what most people think.

It's like someone saying PS4 will sell 30m by end of 2014.

I'M serious,it sold 3 million so far this year with no games released for half of the year until mk8 came out. Nintendo is going to release a steady supply of games next year as well as still have a big backlog from the end of this year to avoid a drought. With the xbox one and ps4 not living up to the expectations graphics wise people will see value in wii u ,remember sometimes people hold out for the next big thing. Not to mention there will probably be a price cut at some point. As long as they can sell more consoles in the first half of the year they will do good. People here forget just how bad the first half of the year was for wii u this year and last year, next year it wont limp into the holiday season like previous years.

Wii U is at around 9 millions at the end of this year so it would need 6 millions. It appears unlikely to reach this number in 2015 but it's more insane to think the Wii U won't sell over 15 millions in its lifetime.

Nah, there is always the possibility for the Wii U to completely break down after 2015. There is however absolutely no possibility for the Wii U to sell 6m in 2015.

It sold 3 million this year on a first half drought of games, so 6 million is possibly with no drought, better support, amiibos, and price cut! But yes people in here are insane to think it wont sell 15 million.

There are more possibility for the Wii U to sell 6 millions in 2015 than to sell less than 15 millions lifetime. In fact, only Nintendi discontinuing suddenly the Wii U for no reason could prevent the Wii U to pass 15 millions.

Who cares. Still makes them money.

I still have hope.

I think it can reach 21m lft by 2018
