actually dude you might not belive this but... you are right i myself have not gotten into PC gaming for all of the reasons you have posted right there (plus the price of entry for getting an PC capable of running PS4/X1 games is out of my reach right now).

so why did i make this thread then? because i see a lot of people saying how EASY it is to game on PC and how anyone can easily get on board and deal with all the stuff that you mentioned, and while i do kind of dissagree with that statement, its also true that i have not made an effort to get into PC gaming so i dont know how much of a hassle it actually is having to deal with all of that stuff, so i just decided to belive them and make this thread anyway.

Haha. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. You're my hero, dude!

I would still get a console. More convenient and easily accessible. I game to relax and clear my head, I don't want to enter an endless struggle of chasing the latest drivers, meeting the game requirements, and getting the controller to properly work. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't access you games on Steam unless it is updated, even for single player mode. This is not the kind of experience that I'm interested in.

Thats only if ur online! If you are offline, then you can go into offline mode and play whatever u want to play in Single player

I see. Is it possible to update in the background while you are playing, like the PS4 ?

Well, not really but the updates for the steam client aren't very big at all and takes a very short time to download and install. The updates for the games can be done in the background however

Well, you actually don't need to do anything with the BIOS and the BIOS has been around since the beginning of PC! For a normal user, they rarely need to access the Bios unless they want to install a new OS or overclock their PC (as well as some other tasks that a normal user wouldn't do). If you aren't a power user, PC gaming has gotten easier than ever imo and its quite easy to find helpful stuff in the community forums if something doesn't work. When it comes to steam, all you have to do in 99% of cases is just right click and install and done! You can start playing the game asap (after the download finishes obviously)

And of course, if your PC gets a virus, quit clicking on those "Hawt girl wants to fuck you" ads that popup and you generally need to get an anti-virus but the thing with that is... Everyone has a PC and you cant get a virus from playing games so if you are getting a virus on ur Gaming PC, you probably gotten a virus on ur non gaming PC anyway. It is very hard to get a virus unless your doing something like torrenting or going to porn websites (and some other websites) and clicking on links that you shouldn't be clicking on!

i see i see, so thats a Bios, also now that we are talking about this how hard is it to actually get a Controller to work on a PC, and i mean like working wirelessly, i know there are some games that are compatible (or at least thats what ive heard) but what about the other games that arent? i know there are ways to make those controllers work but how hard is it to get them working?

im thinking of getting a capable gaming PC in the future so i wanna clear some doubts.

Well, if you buy a game on most places like steam, it will tell you whether or not it has controller support or partial controller support or no controller support! In terms of actually connecting a wireless controller, it depends on the controller really. Some controllers such as the the wii mote and DS3/DS4 work via bluetooth so if u have an adapter for it, you can pair up them quite easily and get some programs can will configure them fairly easily. There are tons of youtube videos saying how to do it. Or if you buy controllers from like the 360 controller or third party controllers like Logitech or Razor, they usually come with a dongle and its plug and play!

At its worst, Youtube/Google, at its best, Plug and Play

I'd still only play on consoles. PCs are too cumbersome to work with when it comes to gaming. The moment I even think about touching a mouse or keyboard for anything while maneuvering through a system or think about tinkering with settings to get the best performance out of anything or taking apart my "rig" to buy and swap out parts for the bragging rights of playing games at 1080p 60fps all the time is the moment PC gaming crumbles as a viable for me. Plus most games are optimized better on consoles anyway.

PC gaming still and will most likely always provide an inferior experience to consoles for me. Don't see myself ever owning one.

seems fairly simple, thanks for the info!

Console. PC is only good for MMO's, FPS and RTS. Cant beat the couch or bed confort otherwise.

Yes, that would be a really bad idea.

We would basically end up with unoptimized crap like AC:U for every single game, which probably wouldn't get fixed until 6 months from launch LOL.

But if I was given the choice I would choose PC,since I'm mostly a PC gamer, well recently I've being playing more on my Wii U and XB1, but I still prefer PC.

As of right now we have nothing on PC, that can compare to some console exclusives in terms of textures and lighting. Thus I'd really love something like that on PC.Why?, well it is a no brainer for me,I'd take 4k over 900p,1080p anyday, for god's sake I had a 5760x2160 rig not long ago, thats 1080p x6.My biggest concern when it comes to graphics is AA.The game I'm playing could be running on DX9, but as long as it has no jaggies, and I mean NONE at all, that no matter how much you zoom into the image you would find no jaggies, that's already eye candy for me,and that is only possible on PC with SSAA, and SGSSAA.I bet I sound like a crazy guy right now lol, but when you build an enthusiast level PC and try the highest quality of AA, it just doesn't feel right playing a game with a lesser alternative of AA.So yeah for us graphic enthusiasts(or graphic hores if you want ) who can stay for hours admiring the graphics, PC is always the way to go.

Anyways, you are right it is not a good idea.Basically all games would be third party, and lets be honest, nowdays even on consoles third party games aren't exactly optimized.Basically it is as you said, exclusives have to stay, most of them are outstanding in every aspect because developers are rewarded exceptionally,if you take that away, there would be no reason for them for going the extra mile.

I'm sure you could do those with a PC as well ...

Console for ease of use and convenience.
No driver updates, weird bugs for certain GFX cards and so on.

I have two good PCs but rarely use them.
Only time is when a game does not exist on console

For many people is like "oh it´s unconfortable, you can´t play it on your couch with your 48" TV and a good gamepad"O.o WRONG you can, of course you can, is just laziness for changing your mind, actually 95% of the great games of both twins are on PC, yes some of them are poorly optimized, but most of them are just fine, even better and PC has so much more exclusives than Ps4 or One, and of course is so much more than a game console.

So if you can build yourself a good PC, wich is obiously the future of gaming, why would you bother about One or Ps4? The only console worth while nowadays is clearly Wii U, people are just so blind, like they use to, but in a few years they will open their eyes, and consoles like the twins are not going to be needed anymore, i´m pretty sure about it.
