Sorry, dude, but your logic is a bit flawed. Not everyone would choose PC not just because of money.

Gaming on a console is a matter of convenience. Not everyone is tech savvy or has the patience to build the perfect computer and optimize everything. You know that the controller you use will work, unlike pc's where depending on the game, it can be a nightmare to make them work. Took me forever with my xb360/pc controller. Such a pain in the ass.

Then you have stupid things to worry about, such as antivirus going mental on you because it doesn't like a file from a game you want to install, obligatory installation through steam, uplay servers being offline and not being able to play your game at all, and so many more to name.

All I know that when it comes to my ps3, all I have to do is insert the disk and (if an installation is not required), my game will work just fine. Peace of mind matters a lot to me and I'm sure many others.

I also tend to keep the big tv in the living room and having a pc in the living room is not that easy, while with consoles it can be a different story.

actually dude you might not belive this but... you are right i myself have not gotten into PC gaming for all of the reasons you have posted right there (plus the price of entry for getting an PC capable of running PS4/X1 games is out of my reach right now).

so why did i make this thread then? because i see a lot of people saying how EASY it is to game on PC and how anyone can easily get on board and deal with all the stuff that you mentioned, and while i do kind of dissagree with that statement, its also true that i have not made an effort to get into PC gaming so i dont know how much of a hassle it actually is having to deal with all of that stuff, so i just decided to belive them and make this thread anyway.

I would buy both like I always do. Plus you're lying when you say PC would have all the advantages, that's not true considering both systems have advantages and disadvantages.

Consoles - No DRM, choice of Physical or digital games and not just being forced to buy digital, convenience, ease of use, cheaper, not worrying about games not working for your console like on PC.

PC - better graphics, mods if you like to use or make them, being able to upgrade your parts.

I hate when people name exclusives as the only reason. If that was true I wouldn't have consoles and a great gaming PC.

I honestly had nightmares with my last gaming PC because it would crash my whole PC if I tried to play Borderlands 2, Portal 2 and Serious Sam. It just crashed completely on start up and couldn't find the problem. I think it had something to do with my BIOS.

i dont even know what a BIOS is XD, last time i played games on PC i was playing Age of Empires, Rise of Nations, Guild Wars and Empire Earth and i never had to deal with anything else than the installation, seems like things have gotten a little bit more complicated.

Well, you actually don't need to do anything with the BIOS and the BIOS has been around since the beginning of PC! For a normal user, they rarely need to access the Bios unless they want to install a new OS or overclock their PC (as well as some other tasks that a normal user wouldn't do). If you aren't a power user, PC gaming has gotten easier than ever imo and its quite easy to find helpful stuff in the community forums if something doesn't work. When it comes to steam, all you have to do in 99% of cases is just right click and install and done! You can start playing the game asap (after the download finishes obviously)

And of course, if your PC gets a virus, quit clicking on those "Hawt girl wants to fuck you" ads that popup and you generally need to get an anti-virus but the thing with that is... Everyone has a PC and you cant get a virus from playing games so if you are getting a virus on ur Gaming PC, you probably gotten a virus on ur non gaming PC anyway. It is very hard to get a virus unless your doing something like torrenting or going to porn websites (and some other websites) and clicking on links that you shouldn't be clicking on!

I would still get a console. More convenient and easily accessible. I game to relax and clear my head, I don't want to enter an endless struggle of chasing the latest drivers, meeting the game requirements, and getting the controller to properly work. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't access you games on Steam unless it is updated, even for single player mode. This is not the kind of experience that I'm interested in.

I would probably be a PC only gamer if that ever happened ...

I see. Is it possible to update in the background while you are playing, like the PS4 ?

i see i see, so thats a Bios, also now that we are talking about this how hard is it to actually get a Controller to work on a PC, and i mean like working wirelessly, i know there are some games that are compatible (or at least thats what ive heard) but what about the other games that arent? i know there are ways to make those controllers work but how hard is it to get them working?

im thinking of getting a capable gaming PC in the future so i wanna clear some doubts.
